The Meta-I & Consciousness Circle Framework
Have you ever wondered who or what is witnessing your thoughts? Is there another awareness watching your conscious mind?
This question, and where this witnessing awareness may be located within the field of consciousness, lingered in my mind for years.
It took me twenty years, but I finally satisfied my own curiosity through a conceptual framework that took shape in October 2026.
The Meta-I & Consciousness Circle Framework
This framework expands upon the Conscious Mind-Consciousness Circle (CCC) which was introduced in my Lupint House release in May 2026 titled: Two Simple Circles: Healing within Living, and Conscious Mind within Consciousness.
This expanded framework further identifies and maps the witnessing awareness, and has been archived as an open-access preprint:
Where Am “I”? Identifying the Meta-I as a Dynamic Membrane in Relation to the Conscious Mind, the Subconscious, and the Diffuse-Conscious.
In this preprint, written in plain, accessible language, I explore consciousness and human experience from a practitioner’s perspective, and discuss potential implications on mental health, dream analysis, creative states, and other phenomena.
