How does the spiritual framework come about?
In my earlier years, I was completely immersed in my tiny world of studies and exams, extremely stressed and unhappy, but I could not stop doing what I was doing out of the fear of failure and losing out. I asked myself and whoever created all these if there is any meaning to life or is it merely to endure suffering.
When I started working and suddenly had some time to myself, I started reading up on all sorts of subjects including self-help, religion, philosophy, but the first book that completely opened my eyes was Many Lives Many Masters by Dr Brian Weiss, who is regarded by many as the father of Past Life Regression Therapy. Suddenly, I realized there could be meaning to the pain and unhappiness I went through, and that there is a higher purpose to my existence. A few years after reading on the subject, through synchronicity, I had the opportunity to undergo Past Life Regression Therapy myself, and that was the first time I accessed insights and guidance that I knew did not exist within my confused and victimized conscious mind back then. And so started my journey to know my own purpose and learnings for this lifetime.
The spiritual framework I am about to share with you, has come to me through years of reading on the subject, my own regression therapy and meditation experiences, the events and synchronicity that have occurred to me over the past 20 years since reading Dr Brian Weiss’s book, and most importantly, has been repeatedly evidenced by the information and insights that my clients have received and shared in their regression therapy sessions with me.
So now, I will explain about the spiritual framework underlying our existence, and how Between Lives Regression Therapy can help us access insights and guidance from the spiritual realm.

So now, I will explain about the spiritual framework underlying our existence, and how Between Lives Regression Therapy can help us access insights and guidance from the spiritual realm.
What is Between Lives Regression Therapy?
In comparison to Past Life Regression Therapy, Between Lives Regression Therapy is less well known, likely because, you will need know enough about your past lives, which means that for the the majority of people, you have to undergo Past Life Regression Therapy to understand sufficiently about at least some of your past lives and current spiritual lesson themes first, before you can undergo a successful Between Lives Regression Therapy session.
Therefore, Between Lives Regression Therapy is a more specialised regression therapy technique. We utilize hypnosis to enable you to enter into a deep trance state, more often, deeper than what is required for Past Life Regression Therapy. In this deep hypnotic state, we can then access your superconscious mind, in other words, the wisdom and knowing that exist beyond your conscious and subconscious mind, to enter into the between lives realm to receive guidance.
The between lives realm is the spiritual dimension in which all souls reside between incarnations. This between lives realm, or the spiritual dimension, is the spiritual home of all souls. And this home exists beyond the boundaries of time and space, and is the place of Oneness.
When we incarnate, part of the soul’s energy is actually retained in the spiritual realm to continue its learning, and the rest of the soul’s energy is incarnated into the physical body each of us has chosen for each lifetime. And this actually answers a common question of how in the hypnotic state, we can still meet our loved ones, who are currently alive on Earth, during a Past Life or Between Lives Regression Therapy session. We are actually interacting with the residual energy of that particular soul or souls in the spiritual realm during the session, to access wisdom from the spiritual perspective.

How did the exploration of the afterlife come about?
We cannot discuss about this mode of therapy without highlighting the work of Dr Michael Newton, who is regarded by many, as the father of the exploration of afterlife. It is documented that his work spanned over 35 years working with 7000 clients. Through his work, he discovered how to enable people, in the hypnotised state, to access spiritual wisdom and receive higher guidance while still living their physical lives, and he pioneered the Life Between Lives (LBL)® technique. He also wrote several books, and I would like highlight his two most well-known books on this subject.
The first is titled Journey of Souls which was published in 1994 and documented the soul’s journey after death, and the spiritual framework of the between lives realm. I would strongly recommend anyone interested in this area to read this extremely engaging, well-written and eye-opening book, which for me, personally, has shaped how I view the meaning of our existence.
The second book titled Destiny of Souls was published in 2000 which expanded on the details of the first book. I personally feel reading Journey of the Souls by itself already gives a very good understanding of this subject, and the second book is for those who yearns to explore more. Dr Michael Newton passed away 2016, and his work is continued by The Michael Newton Institute.

What is the spiritual framework underlying the between lives realm / spiritual realm ?
Here I will give a summary of the spiritual framework underlying the spiritual realm, and please do take time to read about the details in the Journey of Souls if you would like to find out more.
Upon death, the soul leaves the physical body behind, and is guided into warm, loving light as it exits the physical plane, to enter into the spiritual realm. Here the soul can be greeted by the soul’s loved ones or spirit guide.
Spirit guides are spiritual beings who have gained certain levels of wisdom and seniority that allow them to function as guides to less mature souls who are still reincarnating. Each soul has one or the most two guides who are wise, loving, and whose role is to guide the soul through its multiple incarnations, including:
- through each death process,
- facilitating re-entry back to the spiritual realm,
- guiding the soul to the different areas of the spiritual realm including a recovery and healing area if it was particularly difficult or traumatic life,
- then conducting the life review of the physical life the soul just had,
- taking the soul to meet the soul groups,
- and the soul council (I will explain more about them later) for detailed past life review and future life preview,
- before sending the soul off when it is ready to experience its next incarnation,
- as well as monitoring the soul’s progress during its physical life.
I have brought up the new terms of soul groups and the soul council, and I will elaborate further on them now.
Soul groups are groups of soul who continually reincarnate with one another. Every soul has an inner or primary soul group of about around 3 to 25 souls, who take on different roles across many lifetimes. For example, Soul A was the father, Soul B was the son, Soul C was the daughter in one past life, then in the next life Soul A takes on the role of husband, Soul B as the wife, and Soul C as their close family friend, and so on. This is to help one another within this close inner soul group to learn different spiritual lessons and lesson themes across multiple lifetimes, and to resolve karmic actions by the soul and interactions between souls.
Each soul also has an outer or secondary soul group which is composed of other inner or primary soul groups. Each soul has less connections and interactions with members of the outer soul group. The outer group may be represented by the communities, nations, races, religions etc., across different time periods and historic events that the souls are born into. As members of a group, we take collective action or inaction, and bear collective karma, in addition to the karmic actions by each soul and interaction between souls.
The soul council consists of a group of about 3 to 7 very wise and senior souls who are also referred to as the Elders or Masters, whose role is to oversee, advise and provide guidance on each soul’s overall spiritual path, including:
- reviewing multiple past lives and lesson themes,
- explaining the soul’s karmic action, interactions and collective actions,
- reviewing present life and physical body selection,
- as well as previewing possible future life and body selection.

Sometimes, a past life regression therapy session may also go spontaneously into the between lives realm, and this is often an indication that one is ready to receive deeper spiritual guidance.
The small proportion of clients who can go straight to Between Lives Regression Therapy usually already know their past lives and are very familiar with regression work.
Some may simply have an overwhelming interest in the subject and a strong sense that they need Between Lives Regression Therapy now without a conscious indication they are aware of.
Ultimately, this is an intriguing technique that allows us to receive insights, wisdom and guidance which would otherwise be impossible to access. As a therapist, based on my understanding of the client, and/or the information we have retrieved and received during the client's Past Life Regression Therapy, it will be rather evident if the timing is right, and the client is ready to receive guidance at a deeper level, and will therefore benefit from Between Lives Regression Therapy.
